Krazy Kayli

I was trying to figure out what to do with Kayli's hair one morning. This was one of the options I came up with. Kayli thought it was pretty funny.

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas this year. The kids woke up after 7:00 a.m. which we thought was amazing. They were so excited to see what Santa brought them. We had so much fun opening gifts, eating a yummy breakfast and playing with our new toys. We got to stay home all day. My sister and her kids came by late that night and the kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins. It was a fabulous day!

Kayli, Tyler and Zach looking through their stockings (This is such a funny look I caught of Zach. I had to post it)

Tyler got a bunch of Star Wars Action Figures

Zach with his new Ramp Raceway

Kayli got some American Girl Doll accessories.

Zach got an Imaginext Ocean Boat from Santa

Tyler got an Imaginext Ocean Liner and a Submarine from Santa

Kayli got a pink DSi with games and all the accessories from Santa

Tim usually ends up getting mostly "toys" for Christmas, since anything practical he needs, he just buys. So one of the gifts I gave him was a Lego Creator Truck and 4-wheeler with a trailer, which kept him busy building for a few hours. It is very cool.

For those of you who know of Tim's love for donkeys... I had this T-shirt and water bottle custom made for him. I think he was pretty excited.

I got Clip-it-ups from Tim...I am very excited, it is like a "carousel" for all your scrap booking stickers, embellishments, brads, etc. NICE!

Christmas Eve PJ's

This year I decided to start a new family tradition. Each year on Christmas Eve they get to open a present with new PJ's. I didn't tell them what was in their presents this year and all day they were so anxious to open it, finally just before we went to our Christmas Eve Party we let them open them. They were very excited. Especially Zach, we gave him the cutest Toy Story PJ's. He wanted them on and then he wouldn't take them off. So we just let him stay in them all night for our Christmas Eve party and most of Christmas.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we had a family get together with Tim's family. We had a buffet of all sorts of appetizers and did a chocolate fountain for dessert. We played games, and opened presents.
Kayli got a CD from Alyssa

Tyler got a blue squishy toy and Darth Mal from Gavin

Zach got Toy Story Characters from Greyson which he didn't put down the rest of the night and even slept with them all.

It's Christmas Time!!!

I am so excited this time of year is here. We LOVE Christmas! The lights are on the house, the tree is decorated, all the decorations are in place, and the kids rooms are decorated. We went a store and let them pick out their new ornament for this Christmas to put on their tree. Kayli got a pink guitar, Tyler got a red guitar and Zach got Elmo. This year we have a new Elf. Her name is Elise. The are so excited to have "our" here and look forward to finding her in a different spot every morning. Santa sent her to our house to make sure the kids are being "good." This is such a fun time of year!

Black Friday

This year was my sister and I's first (hope-to-be) annual Black Friday shopping event. We had so much fun and got everything we set out to get, at amazing deals. It was so fun to have her here to go with me. I tell Tim all the time I wish I had my sister here to go shopping with and this year we did it, Finally!!!! We got up at 3:30 and had everything we needed and were home by 8:20 with donuts in hand for all the kids and Tim. Yea for early shopping, great deals and "cutting lines" (a time it helps to be little). Thanks Jenn! That was super cold and super worth it. Same time and place next year! Maybe it won't be soooo cold.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we invited my family to our house for Thanksgiving. My sister and her kids came and my dad and his wife ReNae we all able to make it. It was such a nice day. Cousins playing, ReNae brought a turkey craft for the kids to do, playing games and lots of yummy food to eat. Everything was fabulous! I am grateful for so many things...My wonderful husband, our amazing kids, our families, the Gospel, our beautiful home, our health, and Holidays to bring us all together, just to name a few. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Turkey Crafting with Grandma. Grandma brought noodles and nuts to make this cute craft with the grand kids. They turned out really cute.

I was combing Zach's hair and thought it would be funny to put it in pig tails for a few minutes. He didn't like it, but he did smile long enough for this picture.

Christmas Lights Are UP!!!!!

Yesterday we got the Christmas lights hung on the house and in the yard. It is the first of the decorations for the season, and that is exciting! I can't believe this time of year is here already. We just love the holiday season. Tim knew a snow storm was on the way so he worked really hard to get it done. The kids and I even went out to help. We turned them on for a sneak peek last night and they looked great! I am looking forward to Friday so we can turn them all on for the season. The next post will show you the snow storm we got. Tim is happy he got the lights hung just in time.

Snow Much Fun!

We woke up to a lot of snow this morning. As much as I am not ready for winter, it sure looked pretty. The kids were so excited to go out and play in it. They had eaten breakfast and were out in the snow by 8:30 a.m. Tim and I went out to play with them and shovel all the snow. We slid down the hill on the side of our house, the kids had a snowball fight with some neighbors that were out playing and Tim and I helped them build a snowman family. It was a lot of fun!

Trick or Treat 2010

For Halloween this year we had a SWAT Guy, a crazy little monkey and a beautiful black cat. We had a busy day. I had to get up at 5:30 to make it to Provo for my race and then Tim brought the kids down to meet me at the finish line. As soon as we were done at the race we were going to Tim's parents house for the family Halloween party. I left a little bit early so I could get Zach home for a nap so everyone could go trick or treating. When everyone got home we ordered Chinese take-out for dinner, and as soon as we were done eating the kids went trick or treating in the neighborhood. It was pouring rain most of the afternoon and into the evening, but luckily the rain let up so the kids could go trick or treating. They came home with lots of goodies. It was such a fun Halloween this year!

Tim's family had a family Halloween Party Saturday afternoon. The kids decorated pumpkin shaped bread bowls, and then we had taco soup for lunch and donuts for dessert. All the cousins went trick or treating to the neighbors and then we played games.
All the cousins... Everyone looked so great in their costumes.

I beat my time!!!!!

Yesterday I ran my second half marathon, (Provo Halloween 1/2 Marathon). My goal was to run it in 2 hours, my last time was 2:04:05 and I just really wanted to at least beat my time. I ran it in 1:51:23!!!!!!! I was nervous about the cold weather and not being able to run it as fast as I did the last time because I hadn't been training outside in the cold. It only took the first mile to warm up and then I wished I hadn't dressed as warm. I guess the other runners felt the same way, there was gloves, hats, and costume pieces all along the road. It was a fast course. The first 5 miles were a steep descent which I thought would make it an easier run, but it made my calves burn so bad. The race course was beautiful. The canyon was full of fall colors and the temperature was perfect, and there were lots of creative costumes. I was really pushing myself to beat my time so I was so happy to see the finish line. The best part of it all was to see my family and in-laws waiting by the finish line cheering me on. Today I can barely walk and my legs are super sore, but it is definitely worth it!

How Adobe Celebrates Halloween

At Adobe, where Tim works, all the departments come up with a different theme and get a budget of $2500 to decorate for Halloween, by me saying decorate it is a complete understatement. It is amazing the work they put into it and the costumes are just as amazing. So on Friday we met Tim at work and got to go check it all out. It was fun to walk through and probably took us almost 2 hours to see it all. Tim's department theme was 70's Disco and they won 2nd place. The other departments were Gameland (had Lego Indiana Jones, Mario Cart, Mousetrap, Monopoly, Duck Hunt, & Battleship). There was a Hollywood Halloween Theme, Avatar, Artic Penguin Theme and had everything cold, and snow covered with a big igloo to walk through (won 1st place). Cereal Theme and everyone was dressed up in cereal boxes, Shrek theme with a real outhouse they built. There were real pine trees brought in, real rock paths, bark, dirt, sod. Amazing! Here are just a few pics. (I thought Tim had taken more pics, but he only took a few) I am sure someone will post a video on U Tube, and we will post a link later.

The administrative execs did a Sesame Street Theme and the CEO was Big Bird, there was also Elmo, Abbey, Oscar the Grouch and Count Dracula. They handed out the letter of the day which was Red Letter "A" sugar cookies for Adobe.

I tried to upload the video of the costume winner...it was a real looking lego guy with a red shirt with the Adobe logo on it. It was great!!
