 Tyler and his friend Kaiden won a hover craft contest out of the 6th graders at his school, so they got to go to the District Finals. Their hover craft didn't win, but it's pretty cool he made it that far! They had lots of other hands on projects and experiments for the kids to play with. Nice work Tyler!

Zac's Pinewood Derby 2017

Zac's Cub Scout Troop had their Pinewood Derby last week. Zac named his awesome orange car Fiery Metal. Tim worked hard on this car with a little help from Zac too. Zac placed 4th out of 24 boys. So he went to the final round and won 3rd place overall. This was the best Pinewood Derby I think we've been to. It was a lot of fun and the boys had some really cool cars. It was cool to see the results after each race on the big screen. Zac was very proud of his car and excited to win 3rd Place!

 

 

 

 

 

Mother's Day 2017

 Mother's Day May 14, 2017

I am so lucky to be mom to these three kiddos. I am seriously soooo blessed. They are such amazing kids. I am sure it's because God knew I couldn't handle tough kids that aren't nice. I just love them so much. I miss them at night when I go to work, but I love their texts before they go to bed to tell me goodnight and tell me whatever is on their mind. I love how supportive they are of me in deciding to achieve my life dream to be a nurse. It's hard to be away from them at night and I have that mommy guilt, but it's rewarding that my kids let me leave them a few nights a week to take care of brand new mommies and their babies.

 

 

Being a mom is the hardest job ever! We worry so much about them, and worry about their worries, their friends, are we teaching them right, homework, "mommy projects,"school teachers, mean kids, crushes, sports, electronics, feeding them, clothes, cleaning up after them, etc. But I would do anything in the whole wide world for my kids, and being a mom is the most amazing, rewarding adventure EVER!. They are my everything and I couldn't be more proud of each one of them!!!

NJHS Induction

 Kayli was Inducted into the National Junior Honor Society at her Middle School on May 8, 2017

for her 9th Grade year. They are chosen by the school staff for outstanding grades and citizenship. We are very proud of her for her hard work in school!

California Vaca 2017

April 23-29, 2017

RoadTrip to Hollywood, Universal Studios and Disneyland California

 Hollywood, Ca.

Sunday we drove to Hollywood, spent the afternoon walking around the Walk of Fame and the Stores in the area. We stayed in a hotel close to Universal Studios the first night.

 

 

 

 

The next day we spent at Universal Studios

We hit Harry Potter Land first. It was pretty amazing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After a day at Universal Studios we drove to Anaheim. My dad set us up with a nice place to stay, at the World Mark, close to Disneyland. We had a nice view of the fireworks at Disneyland, loved sitting in the hot tub after long days at Disneyland, and loved swimming in the pool. The weather was perfect the whole week!

We had such a fun family vacation! It was the perfect time to go, the lines weren't bad at all, the weather was perfect (it actually snowed here at home while we were gone.) We all needed this fun vaca to get away from school, work and a dirty dusty house.
