Summer Fun with Cousins...

I took the kids up to North Logan for the week to play with their cousins, and to spend time with my family. We had such a fun time everyday. We went to parks, had picnics, the kids played in the field and fed the horses, we went to my uncles barn to swing, we had a picnic on Old Main Hill where the kids ran all over and rolled down the hill, we went to softball and baseball games, they played pioneers and indians, they made and delivered newspapers, made bracelets, rode bikes/scooters, Grandpa got the "train" out and took all the kids for a ride, and they played all sorts of make believe outside. It was so fun to see all the cousins playing together and having so much fun. I love their creativity and imaginations. They were busy doing something every minute. They were all exhausted when we left. Fun Fun week! Thanks everyone for the great time!

The kids all love when Grandpa gets the train out. They live right next to the church and also live on a dead end street so there is lots of places to go and we don't have to worry about traffic.

Grandpa and all the cousins. They LOVE the "train"

We had a picnic at this "Castle" park and then let the kids run and play

The Barn is owned by my uncle Merrit and has been around for years and years. We used to go play their when I was a kid. It has about a 15 ft.(?guess) high loft that you can swing off of. It is really fun, but sure turns your stomach, especially the first time. It is so fun to be able to take our kids there now. They love it, and all the cousins dare swing off it, although Zach's still too small to try.

Day at the Zoo

A friend of mine invited me and the kids to go to the zoo with them on Tuesday. The weather was perfect, and we all had a great time. I think it was one of the best trips to the zoo we have had.

Fun with cousins...

My sister, Jenn and her kids came to visit for the weekend. The cousins had a lot of fun playing and I loved having my sister here. Friday the cousins played all day, we had a picnic in in the backyard, sewed barbie bedding, played more and later we went to dinner at In N' Out and then to Riverton's Arts Festival to walk around and then played in the park. Then we came home and the kids played night games with some neighbor friends in the backyard. Saturday the kids played, we had a picnic in the backyard, they washed our cars for us and then jumped on the tramp with the sprinkler under it. Then we took them all to go see Kung Fu Panda 2. Then they played some more. The girl's made bead necklaces & bracelets, and then we made Chinese for dinner. Sunday came too quickly and they had to leave. The cousins get a long so well, it makes for a lot of fun!

Kayli's last day of 2nd grade

Today was Kayli's last day of 2nd grade. She was very excited for this day. She is ready for summer! The school does an awards assembly on the last day of school. Kayli received the Presidential National Physical Fitness Award and The Golden Falcon Award. We are very proud of her and all her hard work this year. Way to go Kayli!!!!

Tyler's Kindergarten Graduation

June 7th was Tyler's Kindergarten Graduation. He looked so handsome! He was excited about his program, but once he got to school he was a little nervous. They sang lots of songs, and each had a speaking part. It was really cute. We are excited for this big milestone Tyler has reached, but are sad he won't have his teacher anymore. Mrs. Broderick was amazing! Tyler loved her and loved school. He has learned so much this year and made lots of new friends!

Kayli & Spring Soccer

Kayli played another season of soccer this Spring. She had a great team, Green Gators, and they had a lot of fun. Her coach is great and teaches them a lot. It was so much fun to watch her games. The season went by too fast, now we have to wait til Fall to watch more games.

School Dance Festival

This year our Elementary school did their first Dance Festival. Each grade did a dance out on the lawn. It was really fun to watch all the cute kids. Kayli and Tyler just happened to be in the back when they did their dances so I couldn't get very good shots of them during the dance, just pics of them before. Tyler's Kindergarten did "Left Hand, Right Hand" and Kayli's second grade did "Alley Cat" All the grades did a great job. I hope this is something they do every year.
