Fun day in the sand and sun!

We spent the afternoon at Blackridge on Saturday. We decided Zac needed his own Kayak so we went and let him pick it out before we headed out to the lake. It was such a beautiful afternoon. We had fun playing in the water and in the sand, and had a picnic dinner. Below is Zac's chocolate milk lake. It was such a fun and relaxing day.

Zac lost a tooth...

Zac lost his 1st tooth on Thursday.  He was super excited that night that the Tooth Fairy was finally going to come visit him. He had so many questions about the Tooth Fairy. How big is she, what color is she, how does she get in the house. It was really cute!

Zac's on 2 wheels

Zac FINALLY decided he can ride without training wheels. We have learned with Zac that you just have to make him do things. He has a mind of his own and unless it's his idea, he won't do it. So, yesterday I took him to the church parking lot and pretty much just pushed him and let go and he rode half the parking lot, so today I took him back to the church parking lot and he just took off riding all over the parking lot. What a funny kid! He can pretty much keep up with Kayli and Tyler now. We are proud of him and knew he could do it all along, he just needed to see for himself he could. Now he wants to ride, ride, ride. Looks like Aunt Jenn could have a riding buddy soon!

Making my blog private

So I noticed yesterday while I was working on my blog that I can see who checks my blog and was surprised to see a "nosey neighbor" has been looking at our blog and so I have decided that I am going to make our blog private in a week or so. If you would like to continue to read our blog I will have an invitation emailed to you, just let me know and I will add your email address to my list of allowed readers. You will have to log in and so it is another step, I hope you can understand. Thanks!!!

More Lagoon FUN!!!

On Friday the kids and I went to Lagoon again with Jenn, her kids, their cousin Alex, my mom and Kayli's friend Rylee. It was such a blast; we had so much fun. The weather was perfect and the lines were short.

I think the favorite was Rattlesnake Rapids, we were all soaked after 2 times in a row & then the kids decided to keep going 2 or 3 more times. They were completely drenched (good thing they have hand dryers in the bathrooms, they came in handy.) Later, after we dried, some of us went again. We even got Grandma Janet to go on it with all the kids.

All 10 of us on Puff!

We were having so much fun we were there til they closed at 11:00 p.m.

Camping Trip #1 2014

We went camping for a few days this past week up to our usual spot at Spruce's. We rented a pop-up trailer to see how we liked it and to see how the van would do pulling it. We sure were spoiled for a few days of camping...heater, running water, comfy beds, working lights...it made for a fabulous camp trip.

Zac would pick flowers and leaves and bring them to me several times a day, he's so cute!

We were just getting back from a walk and Kayli came running back to us and said there was a moose in our campsite, sure enough there was a moose calf that had just crossed the stream in our campsite, we wondered where it's momma was, and we were happy we never saw her.
We had a great time, we wished we could have stayed longer. June 8-10, 2014

Museum of Natural Curiosity with cousins

My sister-in-law Sara brought her kids down to spend the day with Kayli, Tyler, Zac & I at TP's Museum of Natural Curiosity. Fun day!!! Kayli, Abbey and Jessi did the high ropes course together. It took them a bit to get used to being 2-3 stories high, harnessed & walking across ropes beams & bridges, but they loved it. We had a picnic and then spent some time in the Children's Garden.

Spring Soccer -Tyler

Tyler just finished up his season of soccer. Tyler was on a team with several boys from our ward; he had a great time playing. This boys got some speed! Now we just need to add a little aggression and he will be good to go. Maybe football this summer and fall with teach him some of that

Last Days of School ( Field Trip & Awards)

Tyler earned his Conquering Cub medal. It is a lot of work to earn this award and a lot of kids don't earn it, so we are really proud of Tyler for working so hard this year. He has had a great year. He really liked his teacher, Ms. Divino.
On Monday the 3rd grade went on a field trip to Clark Planetarium. It was fun to spend part of the day with Tyler and his class. This is Tyler with his good friends Ashton and Thaw. They are both moving away so Tyler is really sad they won't be together next year; they have been such great friends.
Zac on his last day of school, Tuesday. I really can't believe he is going to 1st grade! He said he is going to miss his friends and his teacher.
Kayli and Tyler on their last day of school today...
Kayli with her 3 BFF's at the 5th grade awards assembly.

Today at the 5th grade awards assembly Kayli was awarded 1st place in the 5th grade Science Bowl, Conquering Cub Award, and the President's Education Achievement Award. We are so proud of Kayli. She has had such an incredible year and has achieved so much. Today is a bitter sweet day for her. She will have to say goodbye to lot's of great friends as they go to different Middle School's. But she has such a fun, energetic, likeable personality she will make lots of new friends next year too.
Kayli with her teacher Mrs. Hansen, a super fantastic teacher, definitely a favorite!
Kayli with several of her closest friends...lots of fun memories together.
(Andrew, Rylee, Eliza, Kayli, Carter, Luke Jaron, Ben)
On the last day of school the school does a "clap out" for the 5th graders. This is where all the students, faculty & staff line the halls clapping (graduation march playing overhead) as the 5th grader's walk through the halls to leave. Kayli said it was so cool and emotional, lot's of tears and hugs as everyone said their goodbye's.

Spring Soccer-Kayli

Kayli just finished up Spring Soccer, another fun season. Her coach kept most of the girl's together from other seasons so it made it a lot of fun for the girls. (notice her pink mustache socks)
