Sledding!!!

We finally got a few inches of snow during the night, and it's the weekend and so we took the kids sledding on a hill by their school. It was so much fun. Zach loved going down the hill all by himself, and flew down it faster than anyone else. Hopefully we will get some more snow before the end of winter so we can go again.

Valentine's Day

For breakfast on Valentine's Day I made the family cinnamon rolls, and the kids each got a big chocolate heart and little something from Tim and I. They were so excited for the days events, I don't know how they had so much energy so early in the morning. They each had class parties at school and were so excited to give their Valentine's to friends and classmates.
Kayli's class all made their own "Valentine Boxes" at home. Kayli's turned out really cute I thought. Lots of glitter! It was fun for me to be able to help her.

Tyler's Valentine Bag... Tyler's 1st grade class made these cute Valentine Bags. His teacher is always doing cute, fun things for the kids in her class. The week before Valentines day all the kids got to stencil paint their own drawstring bag to put their Valentine's from each other in.

Last year Tim and I started the tradition of serving our kids a "Fancy" candlelit dinner to them on Valentine's Day, and then Tim and I celebrate by going out by ourselves the next night. The kids LOVED what we did last year and asked us several times if we were going to do it again. I made cute menus with all the "kid favorites", and let them pick a selection from each course...Appetizer, Soup or Salad, Main Dish and Dessert. Tim was the server and I was the chef. It was fun to do this for them and hopefully it is something they will remember.

Snow Fun

We got a little bit of snow a few weeks ago. Kayli, Tyler and Zach were very excited to go out and play. They built a snowman and then built up the snow on the driveway and slid down it, over and over. They were out there for hours until they were too cold to stay out any longer. Now we just need it to snow more.
