Kayli's 1st broken bone...

Friday night (14th), Kayli was doing a back hand spring back tuck on the grass and it all went wrong, as she was trying to catch herself she landed on her right hand wrong. It was hurting pretty bad, her finger and part of her hand swelled up pretty quickly and by the next morning it was still swollen, hurting and the blue bruising was spreading into the palm of her hand. So I took her into her Pediatrician's office and they did an xray, and sure enough at the top of her first knuckle there was a break. She gets to wear this pretty pink brace for at least 3 weeks and then they will check to make sure it is healed and then she'll be back tumbling. She is learning how much she relies on her hand for about everything, especially since she is right handed. School will be a bit of a challenge with writing and keyboarding, but she will handle it just fine! Tumbling can be pretty dangerous, so we are all just grateful it was just a broken finger.
This is picture of the bruising the next morning

Tyler's 9th Birthday

It's hard to believe our Tyler Boy turned 9. He is such an awesome kid and we are so blessed to have him in our family. He is so creative, tender hearted, full of questions and full of curiosity, he is always asking questions, (his mind must be going 100 miles and hour, always) he's such a good kid, smart, hard worker, great friend, a great example to his brother and sister, and a people pleaser, just to name a few things we love about him.

Kayli made Tyler a shark with her Rainbow Loom

Tyler chose to go to Rock Creek Pizza for his Birthday Dinner

He had a great Birthday. He got a lot of Birthday wishes from so many family and friends. He had a great day at school. Zac and I went and ate lunch with him at school and then after school played with his new Disney Infinity characters then we went to dinner and came home to have cupcakes and build his new Ninjago Lego set. Happy Birthday Tyler Boy!!!

Karaoke Fun and Grandma Janet's 60!

I took the kids up to Logan with me since it was a short school week so I could help my sister paint Scout's room, and the cousin's could play. We didn't get much painting done, probably because we were having fun doing other things. We were on our way home from Jojo's dance performance and "Manic Monday" came on the radio, funny how Jenn and I remember that song so well, so we started singing along and the our girl's in the back were so impressed with our talent, that Jenn and I decided we would go home and do a show for them, since they are always doing shows for us...
well, everyone decided they wanted to do a show too, so the boys came up with a song, as well as the girl's, and we all raided the enormous dress-up bin and found these fantastic costumes and the fun began...yep 10:30 p.m.
  The boy's looking awesome...

The next night we drove down to Ogden to surprise Grandma Janet and sang Happy Birthday to her, she is 60!!!! She was really surprised to see us, but loved the visit. Jenn snuck her keys so we could decorate her car inside and out with sticky notes, balloons & signs. The kids loved it, and we got away with it, she didn't see it til they left for church the next morning.
Happy 60th Birthday Grandma Janet!!!! You should be happy, the kids wanted to fill the balloons with shaving cream and I wanted to get confetti, but we all have birthdays coming up so we decided we better be nice.
