Mother's Day 2015

I am such a lucky mom, and very blessed. I have the best kids ever! They all bring me such happiness; I have such an incredible love for each of them. Being a mom is the absolute greatest! It's not easy, and most of the time I feel like I could be so much better at being their mom, and with that comes a lot of mommy guilt, but I think that's just part of being a mom, and thankfully they still love me and all my imperfections.
All three of them made me the cutest gifts and cards at school or on their own, it's my favorite! It the best to get the cute things they make just for me. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

I decided I wanted to go for a bike ride and then come home and eat pizza and watch a movie for my Mother's Day dinner, oh and of course cheesecake for dessert. This has to be one of my favorite Mother's Days. It was genius really! Tim didn't have to worry about dinner and everyone ate it happily, with no whining-couldn't ask for anything better than that!
The week before, I met my mom, sister Jenn, sister-in-law Sara and my Aunt Linda at Maddox in Brigham City for Mother's Day dinner. (I forgot to take a pic) It was fun to have a delicious dinner and spend time visiting with each other. I'm thinking we need to do that more often than just for Mother's Day!

Flag Football

Tyler (10) was excited to play flag football again this Spring, he had fun, but was disappointed that it just wasn't as exciting as tackle football. Having played the real game, it was tough to not be able to tackle and block like he is used to. He played great and pulled plenty of flags; it definitely got him excited to start playing tackle again.

Semester 3...

2 down, 3 to go, and almost 1/2 way there! I started my 3rd semester of Nursing School this last week. It's hard to believe how fast the last two semesters have gone by, well its easy to say that now. It's been a tough ride, and at times I wonder if we will make it through, but we do. I say "we" because it takes all of us. Tim and the kids are so supportive and it is a huge sacrifice for everyone. I couldn't do this with out them backing me up and cheering me on. They are the best!
It's amazing how much I've learned and even though its the hardest thing I've ever done, I have really loved learning, the human body is absolutely amazing! This semester I have 12 hour clinicals each week. My rotations are at IMC in Murray and Alta View Hospital in Sandy. I will rotate through Medical Oncology, Neuro ICU, Emergency Dept, Endoscopy, Surgery, Post Anesthesia and the Cath Lab...that's super cool stuff, and then 24 hours of Mental Health clinicals at Jordan Valley. It's going to be super busy, but I am so excited! My first rotation was Wednesday in Med Oncology at IMC, I got a lot of IV experience and experienced a lot of 1st's. The Nurse preceptor I was following was awesome, she let me do everything and just walked me through anything I didn't know, to make sure I didn't screw up too bad. It was a great experience.

Thank you family for all your prayers and support through this journey. I have had so many experiences in the last 9 months where I know prayers have been answered. I know I am not doing this alone!

Waterproof?!?

Crazy kids! They make us laugh with all their funny ideas! They decided to try to stay dry while jumping on the tramp in the pouring rain!!

April Snow

 I forgot to blog this...April 15, 2015
I think we got more snow from this Spring snowstorm than we did all winter long. The kids were so excited to come home from school and play in it. We had just put away all the winter clothes, boots, etc. and all the sleds were put up in the top of the garage, thinking we were done with them until next winter, NOPE! Tim went out to play in the snow with them and they made this outdoor theater and cute snowmen!

A lil' baseball...

Zac really likes to play baseball so we signed him up for a machine pitch league this Spring with South Valley Baseball, the "Threshers." He quickly lost interest when the baseballs being pitched were coming at him pretty fast from the machine. It scared him and he just didn't want to play anymore, so after several practices and a few games, we decided to pull him off the team, but it was a good experience and at least he gave it a good try.

St. George Get-Away 2015

I finished another semester of Nursing School, and we ALL deserved a get-away, so we took the kids out of school and spent 4 days in St. George. It was so nice to get away and relax and not have any homework, studying, or reading to get in the way. We just played, hiked, watched movie and went swimming! It was so fun, we didn't want to come home. We had the pools to ourselves almost the entire time, it was great! And the condo we stayed in was perfect for us,we definitely can't wait to go back!
