The Christmas lights are hung!

This marks the beginning of our favorite time of year. We love Christmas time at our house and do everything we can to make it fun and exciting for the kids and even us. Tim took advantage of a somewhat nice day Friday and hung all the Christmas lights on the house. He had some little helpers that seem to be fearless...Tyler wanted to sit on the roof with Tim, and once Zach saw Tyler up there he was determined to climb up the ladder and do the same. So I climbed up the ladder with him so he could sit on Tim's lap long enough to take this picture. He didn't want to come down and threw a fit the whole time I was bringing him down the ladder. He kept trying to climb up the ladder over and over. No sign of any of our kids being afraid of heights.

Halloween 2009

Kayli (midnight fairy) Tyler (ninja) Zach (dracula)

We went trick or treating in our neighborbood. We took Zach with us to a few houses and then he stayed home to help Tim hand out candy. I took Kayli and Tyler out with some neighbor friends. The weather was nice and it wasn't cold this year. I was happy for that! It was a great Halloween!

Hall Family Halloween Party

Tim's mom and dad had a Halloween party Saturday morning. Tim's mom and I made homemade cinnamon rolls to go with green scrambled eggs that they made. We played some fun games, and went trick or treating to some of the neighbors. We had a costume contest. I am happy to announce that I won for the most creative. I was an 80's girl. I had a crazy wig I borrowed from my sister so I had big hair, big belt, mini skirt, leggins, jelly bracelets, beads, big hoop earrings, and of course the blue eye shadow. Tim won for the scariest. He was a phantom. And yes, most the kids were scared of him. It was a lot of fun, and I hope it will be a new family tradition every year. We all had a great time.

All the grandkids with Grandma. All the kids looked so cute in their costumes.

We went trick or treating early to some of the neighbors.
