Tyler's Preschool Graduation

Tyler graduated from Preschool today. His class did a short little program of singing a few songs, and reciting some poems that they learned throughout the year. Then they each got a cute book of paintings, crafts, and pictures they created during the year and a graduation certificate. I can't believe he is ready to be a BIG Kindergartner.

Kayli's at it again!

Don't look Tim! I guess since Kayli doesn't have a sister, she has to make do with what she has. And since Zach is willing, she will get away with it. Kayli even wanted to add some make-up, but that is just a bit too much, so I said nope.

Winter in May?!?

This is looking out our front door on Monday. YUCK!!! Memorial Day is a week away. This is what no one wants to see this time of year. Where is the nice warm weather we should be having? I had just planted flowers on Saturday, I sure hope you are OK!

Once Upon A Lillypad...

All of the First Grade at Kayli's school did a musical play for their end of year program called Once Upon a Lillypad. It was really cute and they put a lot of work into it. They all had a speaking part and there were also a lot of cute songs. It was the cutest play. All the girl's in Kayli's class were Fire Fly's and the boys were Snakes. The rest of the kids were butterflies, ducks, alligators, birds, owls and frogs.

Introducing our newest Niece & Nephew

Tim's sister Ali gave birth to twins Ty and Meg on Saturday. They are such adorable little babies! We are so excited to finally meet them and that they are here healthy and doing well, mom too. It was so fun to see them and hold them, I could have sat there all day holding them, they actually hold still and let you cuddle them. It is so easy to forget how tiny and sweet these new little babies are. They make a great addition to all the adorable little ones we have in the family.

Ju and Meg, (I think this is such a sweet picture of the two)

Mother's Day

I had such a great Mother's Day weekend this year. Saturday afternoon I went to the Spa and got an hour long pedicure and then we went to a Toscano Pizza for dinner that night. Which was very good. Then on Sunday the kids were so excited to give me their gifts they had made at school so I opened them first. Kayli gave me a paper mache watering can pen holder that was decorated with flowers and a picture of her on it and pens with flowers on them. Tyler gave me a dish towel with his hand prints on it, and Zach gave me a bag of my FAVORITE food...LICORICE. So that is what I had for breakfast. Tim got off easy on that one. Then Tim had made up a game show for me on Power Point (?) on the computer that he wired to the TV called "Who Wants to BE a Motheraire after the game Who wants to be a millionaire. It was a bunch of questions I had to answer correctly to get a prize and then I could stop at one prize, or give it up and keep going. Of course I kept going and won the grand prize which was my very own pink netbook. I am so excited about it. It was so thoughtful of Tim and he really put a lot of work into it, it made for a fun morning. After church we went to Tim's parents for dinner and dessert. After eating Tim and I went to visit his sister Ali in the hospital and to meet our new twin Niece and Nephew Ty and Meg that were born on Saturday. They are so adorable and seem so itty bitty. It was fun to visit Ali and Ju and to hold those sweet little babies. It was such a nice Mother's Day. I loved every minute of it. I feel so blessed to be a mom to 3 of the most amazing kids. I couldn't ask for anything better than to be a mom, and to have such a wonderful, caring and sweet husband to raise them with. I think we make a great team and I couldn't do all that I do without him. I love my little family so much.

How Tyler sees "me"...

Tyler came home from Preschool with a "Happy Mother's Day" paper with questions he answered about me. I got a good laugh and wanted to share...his answers are in quotes.

My mom's favorite color is "blue".
My mom is "7 feet" tall.
My mom is as beautiful as "an olive."
My mom is the best chef. She cooks really good "Noodle Soup."
My mom is really good at "cooking."
I love to play "Legos" with my mom.
I love my mom because "she lets me go outside everyday."

What a funny kid. I sure do love my Tyler Boy. As a mom I just love when my kids bring home papers like this or journals from school. They are always so fun to read...things I will keep forever. I am sure they will love to read them when they are older.

I just have to say "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" to all the mom's who check my blog!

hair clips...

I found a great deal on some flowers at the craft store and wanted to see if I could make Kayli some cute hair clips. This turned out really fun for me and I also saved a lot of money doing it myself. I had all the ribbon and buttons that I use for scrapbooking, just needed the flowers. Gotta love good deals! Kayli loves them and I thought they turned out really cute.
