Football...Tyler's last game!

(Tyler with his coaches: Brian, Jesse and Mike)
Tyler and his team had a great win today, perfect way to end the season. It was a tied up until 27 seconds left in the 4th quarter and Jordan pulled it off with a winning touchdown with only seconds to spare. It was the most exciting game of the season. The boys played well and deserve the victory. Tyler had several awesome tackles that stopped the ball; he really played hard today. Tyler was awarded another medal this game for best work on Special Teams. We are super proud of him.

(Tyler with his end of game medals and his helmet with stickers earned from games, Beetdiggers (X looking things) are for his tackles and beets are for team touchdowns)
Tyler got a little emotional after the end of the game, knowing it was over. He has learned so much about the game and has built a lot of friendships with his team and has said he is going to miss that. His coaches have been great, and have built up a lot of confidence in Tyler. He was a great Center and contributed a lot to his team. He played 1st team offense, first team defense and occasional special teams. One thing I have noticed about Tyler at practice and games is he is always the first one to the line in ready position. He knows exactly where he needs to be and he is always ready to go. He is just such a good kid!
(At the end of the game the boys dumped all their water on their coaches)

More Football!

Boy do we love this boy! We are super proud of him and his hard work and dedication to his 1st football season. It hasn't been easy for him, it's a lot of sacrifice of his free time, but he has been a trooper for the last 3 months. He has continued to play Center the entire season and has done a great job with his snaps to the QB. He has learned so much and we love to go and watch him play. His team hasn't been the best, and they've lost a lot of games, but most of the time Tyler doesn't even know if they won or lost at the end of the game, and it doesn't even matter to him. As long as he had fun, that's all that really counts!
Tyler's coaches give out a few medals at the end of their games for best offense, defense and 110%, and Tyler has earned it twice. The first one was for giving their best on Offense, and the 2nd was for having perfect snaps the entire game, last week. He practices hard to make sure the QB gets the ball, so it was well deserved.

Tyler played his best game on Saturday. He made 5 awesome tackles that stopped the ball. They lost, but played a great the 2nd half, but couldn't catch up.

I am this boy's biggest fan!

Playin' with brains!

We got to play with brains in Anatomy and Physiology last week. We just finished studying the Nervous System so it was actually really cool to look inside and see all the nerves and parts of the brain. These are actually goat brains, but they look similar to the human brain, only smaller. It was pretty cool!
School is going great. I love it, even though it is A LOT of studying and memorizing. I am learning so much (ask my family, I tell them everything I learn) and it is actually very interesting. I am so thankful for a very supportive family, I have a lot of mommy guilt because I am so busy with school  am not able to do everything I normally would, they have been great. Especially Tim, he has really taken on a whole lot with keeping the house clean, helping the kids with homework, etc. He's seriously the best. I am just over half done with my 1st semester and have managed to keep good grades. I am wondering why I never tried this hard in High School. Hopefully I can be a good example to our kids and they will learn good study habits and learn that good grades are super important. If mom can do it, so can they!

Tim's spare time...

This is what Tim does once in awhile when him and his buddies from work get bored.
They go shoot some little guns at the shooting range.
