24th of July

For our annual 24th of July celebration, we all got together at Tim's parents house for dinner, a bike parade for the cousins (grandma bought stuff for them to decorate their bikes, scooters, & ride on toys), then we did a car race this year where each family made a car with anything we wanted and had to attach fireworks to them and see whose car would go the farthest. Tyler was most excited about this. Tim and Tyler built a car out of Legos. Our car was the first to go and unfortunately Tyler was quite disappointed when the car didn't even move. Ju and Ali's car went the furthest. They have done this before so they knew what they were doing. :-) Then we had dessert and when it got dark we did a whole bunch of fireworks. It was such a fun evening. The kids all had a great time!

A few days in Logan

I took the kids up to Logan for a few days to see my family. We had a great time. The cousins always have so much fun together. It was also my niece Jojo's 12th birthday. While we were up there we met 2 of my good friends (Suzie and Amy) that I grew up with and their kids for lunch. It was so fun to see them. i love that we have been able to stay in touch after all these years. I can't wait to get together again, hopefully soon!

Camping Trip #1

We spent a few days camping at Tanner's Flat over the weekend. The kids had a fun time hiking around, playing in the stream, roasting marshmallows, and getting plenty dirty. Camping seemed to be a lot more work this year, but it was fun to spend a few days in the canyon. Hopefully we will be ready to go again in August cause we have another camping trip planned.

Roasting Marshmallows (they didn't eat them, just liked to catch them on fire)

Kangaroo Zoo

Tim had a week off of work for "Summer Break," so we wanted to take the kids and do some fun things...one of the days we took them to In N' Out for lunch and then to Kangaroo Zoo to play. They had a great time playing, climbing and bouncing.

Motherhood: An Eternal Partnership with God

We were shown this short clip in Relief Society on Sunday and a friend of mine also posted it on her blog, and I wanted to share it as well. It is very touching, and a great reminder to me how greatly blessed I am to be a mother.
