Playing At The Park

Finally, the sun was out and we had blue skies on Thursday, so I took the kids to the park. As freezing as it was I didn't care, I just needed to get outside with the kids, and I am sure the kids felt the same way. They had fun even though we only stayed for a little while. Then we came home and I made them hot chocolate. I am so ready to for Spring to be here I can hardly wait!!!

Our Adorable Kayli is 7

Kayli's Snowflake B-Day Party

Kayli came up with the idea to have a snowflake themed birthday party with her friends this year. We played lots of fun games, made necklaces, and had cupcakes. I think the kids had a great time, but there were 16 kids that came and that was A LOT of 6 & 7 year olds.

making Snowflake candy necklaces.

Marshmallow Snowball Fight! The kids loved this part the most I think.

This was such a fun party to plan, so anyone with a winter birthday this is a great idea. In November I started looking for anything "snowflake" that I could use for the party. I found most of it at the Dollar Store... Snowflake ornaments big and little to hang from the ceiling, silver white and turquoise streamers and balloons, snowflake cups and napkins, for the goody bags for all the kids to take home I found snowflake cellophane bags and filled them with knit gloves in turquoise or white, snowflake suckers, "wedding bubbles" and I added snowflake stickers to them, winter colored Hershey's kisses, turquoise and white candy canes and chocolate covered marshmallow snowman. For the cupcakes I used foil cups, blue sprinkles and edible snowflakes.

Happy 7th Birthday Kayli & Happy New Year

I can't believe our little girl turned 7 on New Year's Eve! She had a really fun Birthday. My sister Jenn and her kids came on the 30th and were here for 4 days. Kayli was excited to have them here for her birthday. We went to Red Robin for dinner the night before her Birthday. She made sure the server knew it was her birthday. They server brought out this HUGE ice cream cake for her and it was big enough to share with all of us. MMMM it was so yummy. Tim, Jenn & I decorated late that night so she would see them when she woke up. She requested pancakes for breakfast, then went Ice Skating that afternoon. All of Tim's family, my mom and her husband Dave, and Jenn and her kids came to her Birthday/New Year's Eve Party. We had pizza & salad, played some games, Kayli opened all her presents, had Ice Cream Brownie Sundaes, then celebrated New Year's eve playing games and eating all sorts of snacks and goodies. I think everyone had a really fun time. Thanks to everyone for coming to celebrate with us!

Christmas 2009

We had a really good Christmas. The kids were very excited! We thought for sure they would be awake all night waiting, but they actually slept 'til 7:30 a.m. They were so excited to see what Santa brought. They were all happy with what they got for Christmas. We had a yummy breakfast, and then later Tim's parents came over for dinner and to spend the evening with us, Tim's sister, husband and little girl came over as well. A few days after Christmas my mom came to celebrate Christmas with us. We were all spoiled by everyone and had a fabulous Holiday. Thank You everyone!
