Ready for Kindergarten

Zach was so excited for Kindergarten to start. He is in afternoon K and the morning could not go by fast enough for him. He was so excited about riding the bus and playing at school with a lot of new friends. It was bittersweet when he climbed onto the bus today. Although he is ready for school everyday, it is going to be so quiet around the house I am going to miss my little buddy. He still seems to young and little for all this big kid stuff.

He was all smiles when he got off the bus with Kayli and Tyler today. He is excited to go back again tomorrow. I even heard from his teacher that he had a great first day.

Back to School

Our kids are at a new school this year. So far so good. They have been in school a week now and really like their teachers. They know several kids from our neighborhood and some kids that they went to school with previous years that switched schools with the boundary changes as well. The school is nice and staff seems great. So hopefully it will continue to be a great year.

 Tyler "8" 3rd Grade
Zach starts Kindergarten on Monday.

Oh Zach!

Zach (5) is such a funny kid...here are just a few pics I have taken of him lately.
He was getting ready for church on Sunday and came out like this...
Zach with his cousin Jo's glasses

Zach LOVES to dress in character to whoever he is watching on TV, or a movie at the moment. This is just one he came up with, not really copying any particular character that I could come up with, and he had to have his own photo shoot.

Zach as Puss in Boots

Zach had a lot of fun swimming all summer
Zach fell climbing on some of our landscape rocks, he fell off the top row of rocks, and landed on cement the curbing. It was so sad, we all saw him and heard him hit, but couldn't do anything to stop him.

Kayli and Kool-Aid

Kayli wanted to dye her hair pink with Kool-Aid today, I only had cherry kool-aid so it's red, but she still loves it. Who needs to go to a salon and spend a lot of money when you can spend 10 cents and find the product in your pantry, it smells yummy and you can choose all the colors of the rainbow. Ha Ha (I am sure anyone that sees this from an older generation will roll your eyes and grumble, I am OK with that.)

Oneida Narrows and 1st Dam

My brother Jeff invited us up to float the Oneida Narrows by Preston, Idaho last weekend. Jeff took Abbey and her friend Erica, Jessi and Cassie. Cassie and Zach sat in a raft, Abbey paddle boarded (is that proper english?), Jessi kayaked, and the rest of us used tubes. It was a lot of fun, and we all had a great time.

That afternoon we went to hang out at 1st Dam in Logan and try out the paddle board and kayack Jeff has. I am hooked, and so are Kayli and Tyler! They were so much fun! Can't wait to get our own.

Kayli will try anything, she loved the kayak and the paddleboard

Grandma Janet and I had a great time floating around on just a tube.

Thanks Jeff and Sara for such a fun weekend. We had a great time! Thanks for letting us crash at your house for a few nights and for all the great food! Let's do this again for sure!
