Zach's reached another milestone...he's reading!

The last few weeks have been very exciting for Zach at school and at home, too. Zach worked really hard and earned his "Blending Wand" (blending sounds to make words) which prepares them to start reading. He had the biggest smile on his face when I picked him up at school that day and saw him waving his Wand. It's little moments like this that make you whole day.

Zach is reading now and doing really well. He read his first book (Mat) to me on Monday, January 14th. That was such a sweet day. I was so excited for him reaching that milestone, but sad that my cute little man is growing up so fast. I love sitting with him and having him read to me. It is one of the cutest things. It amazes me how quickly he has caught on and I love that he loves to read!

 Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! The cousins had a great time playing games, dancing, playing with light-up balloons, XBox and eating goodies! Everything you need to celebrate!

Happy 10th Birthday Kayli!

It's Double Digits for Kayli! Happy Birthday to our "little girl." Kayli had another great Birthday. I made her favorite "orange rolls" for breakfast and she opened presents. She got Lego Friends horse stable, shoes, boots, McKenna's gymnastics team gear, and a matching leotard from her performance for McKenna. Tyler and Zach gave her matching soccer earrings and necklace. She spent the morning building and playing with her Legos. Grandma Janet took her to lunch, and then later that night we had family over for Brownie Pops and Sundae's. She had a fabulous birthday!
