Disneyland 2013

We had such a fun Disneyland vacation. It could not have gone better. We all had such a great time! We spent 4 days at Disneyland and California Adventure. Just the right amount of time to hit every ride as many times as we wanted. Our hotel was across the street, so we walked everyday. Our hotel had a great pool so the kids would even go swimming after a full day of Disney fun. We got upgraded to a 3 queen bed hotel room, so it was plenty big and offered breakfast every morning. We drove, and had a stop in Vegas one night on the way there and drove straight through on the way home. The kids did amazing during those long driving hours. Here are a few of our super fun, never to forget, magical vacation.

Cars Land is our most favorite part of Disney's California Adventure. It was so cool!

Grandma Shaw

My Grandma Shaw passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon. She has been on my mind a lot and I have been reflecting on the memories I have of her. I have a lot of great memories... I loved going to visit my Grandma and Grandpa at their home in Liberty, and many times had sleep overs at her house. She was always a great cook. She made the best mac and cheese, always had fudge stick cookies, and yoplait (I seriously thought that was the best thing ever). There was so many fun things to do while visiting...we would play in the barn, feed the cows, (I even watched one being born), played on the swing set, played in the huge amounts of snow they would get, played lego's, took turns with my cousins or siblings racing Doug's wheelchair around in the basement, making huts/hideouts in the basement, climbing through the laundry shoot, going on tractor rides with Grandpa, playing old maid with Grandma , and eating Premium Creamy ice creams (they were always stocked in her freezer.) She loved to crochet and would crochet dish cloths every year for all the grand kids for Christmas. I remember Grandpa and Grandma working in the Ogden Temple faithfully every week, what a great example they set for all of us. I have a lot of happy memories of my Grandma! She was always interested in each of our lives and what we were doing. I think about the incredibly happy reunion she had with her husband after 17 years, and her son, Doug that passed away many years before that. I love her dearly and she will be missed by all of us.
These are pictures of our last visit with Grandma Shaw. I love both these pictures and I am so grateful to have them.
