Cowabunga Bay

My sister Jenn, brought her kids down this weekend so we could all go to Cowabunga Bay for the day on Saturday. The kids had such a blast together. They loved every minute of it. They hit all the slides several times and spent hours in the Lazy River tipping each other over, playing games, etc., having a great time. It didn't rain, so we were thrilled! FUN DAY!!!!!!!

My niece, Kitara came to stay with us for the week. We planned some fun things...we went to see Mr.Popper's Penguins, went to get ice cream, went to lunch with Grandma Janet, lots and lots of play time, and then one of the days we went to Murray Pool. They had so much fun. Ty, Kit and Kayli loved jumping off the diving board. We spent most of the day swimming, it was the perfect way to spend a hot day.

Pioneer Day Fun!

Our Pioneer Day was jam packed full of fun. My dad signed up to be in the North Logan 24th of July Parade. He was going to drive his 4 wheeler and "train" with all the grandchildren in the back. Unfortunately on Sat. he was in a 4-wheeler accident and broke some ribs which punctured his lung and he also broke his clavicle, so Grandma ReNae stepped up and was our engineer this year. She looked great as did all the kids. We painted their faces and dressed them in red white and blue. Everyone looked great! My sister Jenn and I didn't want to miss out on the fun, so we dressed up a little crazy and joined them on Razor scooters. It was so much fun. I think we had as much as the kids. After the Parade my entire family got together and had lunch at Grandpa and Grandma's and then went to Benson Marina to canoe. That was a first for most of us and it was so much fun! We wished we could have stayed longer but we had to get to American Fork for Tim's family's annual Fireworks and Cookout.

Yes, we know...we look amazing and you all want our outfits.

At Tim's parents we had a BBQ,the kids played, we had ice cream sundaes, and waited for dark. It started to pour rain on us, so we all sat in the garage and the guys lit off all the fireworks in the road. It wasn't as great, but it was better than none at all. It was a busy busy fun day! The kids had so much fun, they loved being able to see all their cousins in one day.

4th of July week full of FUN!

Friday the 2nd we went up to Logan to watch the fireworks. My dad and his wife, ReNae invited all our families to their home for a cook out, train riding, and hangin' out. Then we all pile in the back of pick-up trucks and drive to a reserved spot on the grass by the stadium to watch the fireworks. It is always fun and the kids have a great time playing with all their cousins. We all stayed at my brothers house, they made us a yummy breakfast and then we went out to "The Barn" to swing. Most the kids were going off double boxes which makes them a lot higher, something I have never dared do. Kayli and Tyler both did it. I was nervous watching them, but they did it without fear. Then we went to lunch at Fredrico's. A must every time I go up to Logan. After lunch we went back to my brother's house and the kids ran through the sprinklers. We left so we could get home and go to the Riverton City fireworks. For the actual fourth we didn't do much. But that evening we went to get snow cones and did Pops and Sparklers since all fireworks are banned in our area.

Adobe lets everyone have the week of July 4th off every year, so Tim was home all week, so we planned a full week of fun. Tuesday we went to Cowabunga Bay. It is such a fun water park, perfect for younger kids. Lots of water slides, a "beach style" pool, and a lazy river. The kids loved it. The water is only 3 feet deep at the deepest, so Kayli and Tyler could play without me worrying about them. They especially loved the lazy river. It was a really fun day! Wednesday we stayed home and then took the kids to see Cars 2. Cute movie!!!! Thursday we took Kayli and Tyler to Lagoon, while Zach went to Tim's parents for the day and had a sleepover. Lagoon was a lot of fun with Kayli and Tyler. They went on all the big rides with us and loved it, even Wicked! I was more nervous about that ride than them. It was such a great time with those two. We stayed til close and I think Kayli and Tyler could have stayed longer, but Tim and I were ready to go. Riding some of those rides made me feel old. I got sick on a few, they never used to do that. (SIGH) Super fun day! Friday we took the kids to Tim's parents to play with their cousins while we went to Transformer's 3. Then we had a cook out with Tim's parents. It was a fun week of great memories with our little family.
(Sorry no pics of our adventures, I didn't want to take my camera swimming, or worry about it on the rides.)
