Camping Trip #1 and counting...

It was so fun to get Wilson (our pop-up) out and head up to the mountains this past weekend . We went camping to our favorite spot at Spruce's. It was such a nice weekend, the weather was perfect! We just played around our campsite in the stream and went on a little hike, played games and sat by the fire. We have several camping trips planned this summer, so lots to look forward to.

Tyler's Weeblo Advancement

Tyler had Weeblo Camp Runamuk this last week. He had such a fun time... they went to a museum, went geocaching, went swimming, made marshmallow guns, and probably a bunch of other fun activities and ended with a long hike on Friday. We heard from the leaders it was a tough hike but the boys were all troopers and did great. The boys planned a dinner for the family's  Friday evening up at MillCreek Canyon, where they finished their hike. We roasted hotdogs and had s'mores. They had a program for us and then they did a rank advancement ceremony, Tyler earned his Weeblo rank. He has had such a great experience with Cub Scouts, especially since becoming a Weeblo. He has the most incredible leader, she is amazing, and really loves working with these boys, teaching them so much. She makes them work hard and play hard. They love it!

Kayli's Spring Soccer

Kayli just finished another great season of soccer. She played on a new team this season with her friend Ava, that she's played with since they were 4. Its fun to see how far they've come and how much they've learned. Kayli played hard and had a blast. I lost count of how many goals she scored this season, but I'm pretty sure it was her best.

School's out...awards & last day!

  Last day of school...June 5th...Zac 1st grade -- Tyler 4th grade
Zac made it through 1st grade like a champ! He had a great year, learned a lot, had a blast, made a lot of new friends and I'm pretty sure he taught his teacher, Mrs. Gardner, patience and tolerance. Zac finished above grade level in all his 1st grade year end testing, YAY! His teacher caught on real quick that he's smarter than he let's on. Zac is full of it and loves to make his classmates laugh.
Tyler had a fantastic 4th grade year! His 2 best buddies moved at the end of last year so he was worried about starting a new school year without them, but be made some great friends and this year turned out to be his most favorite! He had the most amazing teacher, Mrs. Hogan (and she's little like me). She LOVES teaching and loves her students. She made her classroom such a fun place to learn. Tyler did really well in school and tested above benchmark in all his subjects. We are super proud parents of this boy! Tyler is such a fun kid, and well liked by everyone. He is very kind, considerate and such a great friend. His teacher told me on several occasions what a wonderful student he is. He works hard and does everything he is suppose to do. I learned that he is pretty funny in class, making jokes, saying funny things, and making his classmates laugh, who'd of thought!

  Kayli...last day 6th grade...June 4th!
Kayli survived her first year of Middle School. It was a huge adjustment from elementary school, but she sailed right through. She made a lot of new, great friends and really enjoyed her school year. Kayli won the Principal's silver award for GPA above 3.8 for the entire school year. Wow! She worked hard and we are so proud of her.
Her favorite class was Spanish, she learned so much! It's fun to hear her speak and she even tries to teach us words.
Kayli will be going to a brand new middle school next year, it was just recently completed. It's going to be great being the first students in the new school. She's way excited!
